Change of limit?

Yes 80, no 80.

ACPO are not against an 80 limit on UK motorways, says Suzette Davenport, but quite rightly would like to see evidence that it will not cost us more lives. One suggestion was that all motorways are Policed more strictly, remotely through SPECS. The previous Government was looking for SPECS on all motorways by 2015, so it may be the case still. Motorways are our safest roads, if these roads will be considered more of a risk with an increased limit, why are we considering it at all, it seems madness.
