The trend is towards compulsory cpd for instructors, well, nothing wrong with that, we work in an environment that deals with saving lives and reducing road death in the UK has to be our target. However, the research suggested that ADIs were part of the reason for a high road fatality rate amongst new drivers, but is that strictly true?

Drivers under 25 may have a disproportionate accident rate, but, new drivers over 25 do not, so is it inexperience or a direct link to maturity both physically and mentally?

The latest update is leaning heavily towards voluntary CPD, from the report fed back from the meeting held on the 2nd July.

Does this mean no teeth for the DSA ?

Does this mean ignoring the research that suggests saving lives could be done by ensuring the trainers are better trained ?
